Woman injured as firefighters rescue two from crash

Fire crews from Perranporth, along with the rescue tender team from Tolvaddon, attended the incident between Trispen and Carland Cross.

On arrival, ambulance crews had already assessed two casualties who were trapped inside a vehicle. Firefighters used specialist crash rescue equipment to free both occupants.

Once freed, the casualties were handed over to the care of paramedics. Fire crews then made both vehicles safe before leaving the scene.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “This was a two-vehicle collision reported at around 9.20pm. One woman suffered a leg injury. The injury is not life-threatening or life-changing.”
