Skinner's Brewery

Founded in 1997 by Steve Skinner, who after running successful Brewpubs in Jersey and finding a passion for making beer, decided to move from Jersey to Cornwall with his young family on the hunt for the perfect wave and community to raise his young children.

Determined to offer something slightly different to the other breweries in Cornwall, Skinner’s launched with three beers including, the infamous Betty Stogs and Cornish Knocker, which were at the time paler, modern and more hoppy, with the added touch of the characteristic fun Skinner’s style.

Visitors and beer enthusiasts associate Skinner’s with a strong tradition of Cornish brewing, where locally inspired recipes and ingredients are used to create distinctive ales enjoyed across Cornwall and beyond. The brewery is also linked to the wider pub and hospitality scene in the region, where its beers are commonly served in traditional pubs and bars.
