Shopping in Truro
Shopping in Truro is a unique and enjoyable experience.
Visitors and locals travel to Truro, drawn by the City’s combination of top national shops, fashionable boutiques and independent stores. As well as the bustling Pannier Market and the popular Lemon Street Market with its art gallery and cafes with internet access.
Pydar Street and King Street are the epicenter of the well known national shops which intertwine into quaint opes full of smaller interesting and quirky shops. Explore River Street and Victoria Square for the independent jewellery and fashion shops which sport well known surf brands such as Quicksilver and Volcom. Then for a well earned break, continue on to Kenwyn Street, which is home to quality eateries and popular local bars and pubs.
Inhabit is a small, family owned, independent retailer established in 2000. Over the years we have always tried to inspire our customers with interesting and fabulous products, some of which we design and manufacture ourselves. Sock creatures, a craft kit designed and created by the clever kids that work at inhabit has gone on to national success, now being stocked in stores such as John Lewis, Fenwick and the Eden Project.
We are a Specialist Teddy Bear shop with Teddies from Charlie Bears, Steiff, Merrythought and lots of interesting Artist Bears. We have bears to appeal to collectors to those looking for a special gift or a little pocket money bear or animal.
Trevails of Truro has been run by the same family for four generations. Founded in 1919 by Royston John Trevail, the business is a Cornwall institution and known throughout the county and further afield for quality and service. The present store, some 5,000 square feet, is just 50 meters from the original shop in River Street.
