
An investigation is stepping up after a 16-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by a stranger on a bus travelling through Truro.
Officers have now released an image of a male they wish to speak to in relation to the incident, which took place on September 18.
At around 4.30pm on that date, the girl was on a bus between the Malabar area of Truro and the city centre when she was sexually assaulted over clothing by a stranger.
Enquiries have been carried out since the incident was reported, and police have now released this image.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Officers investigating a sexual assault in Truro would like to speak to this person.
“Investigating officers believe the male pictured may be able to assist with enquiries.
“Anybody with information is asked to get in contact via 101 or our website, quoting 50250243245.”
