Several arrests after beer and fire extinguishers allegedly stolen

Several people have been arrested following reports of theft and burglary in the Falmouth area.

A 38-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy, both from the town, have been arrested on suspicion of burglary in connection with an incident at Lidl in Falmouth Road, on Sunday, June 14, at around 6.30pm.

Police say entry was forced to the premises and a box of Stella Artois stolen.

The suspects have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Two men, aged 38 and 19, as well as a 16-year-old boy, all from Falmouth, have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and released under investigation following a separate incident. Officers say a burglary took place at an address in Oakfield Road, between noon on Wednesday, May 20, and 6pm on Monday, June 15.

Numerous household items were reportedly stolen.

On Monday, June 15, two fire extinguishers were allegedly stolen from a service station in Dracaena Avenue, between 12.50am and 1.20am.

A further two fire extinguishers were reported as stolen on Friday, June 19, at around 10.30pm.

A 19-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy, both from Falmouth, have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and have been released under investigation.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police added: “The theft of parcels from the reception area of offices in Falmouth Road, Penryn, on Monday 15 June at around 2.15pm.

“A 19-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy, both from Falmouth, have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and have been released under investigation.”
