Santa Runs are officially back after most events were cancelled last year due to the pandemic.
Santa is coming to town for some Christmas fun this December, with runners of all abilities set to take to the streets dressed as the man in red himself.
Starting this weekend, hundreds of Santa’s will be running all over the county, in annual Santa Runs.
If you’re looking to take part in one yourself, we’ve rounded up the best Santa Runs in the Duchy. Dig out your Santa hat and get ready to run.
Santa’s on the Run at the Eden Project
When: Sunday, December 5
After hosting a virtual event last year, organisers are hopeful for an army of fun runners and walkers to return to the Eden Project raising cheer in their festive gear on.
More than 650 people took part in the last festive 2km fun run for Children’s Hospice South West in 2019, raising nearly £26,000 in support of the charity’s Little Harbour children’s hospice in St Austell.
This year there will be two waves of the event, at 10.30am and 3pm, both hoping to raise a total of £30,000 for the charity in honour of the Eden Projects 30th anniversary.
Participants are also asked to be conscious of their environmental impact, asking you to create your own costume. So, grab the tinsel, find your furry antlers, recycle your Santa suit and spread festive cheer in your Christmas gear.

The family-friendly event will have three timed distances to choose from, 2.5K, 5K and 10K – as well as two runs purpose built for your dog to join in too.
The Olive & Co café will also be open, serving breakfast and hot drinks for those just wanting to take in the action from a distance.

This is a family event aimed at getting local people together for a bit of extra festive fun before the Lantern Parade heads up Fore Street.
Entry fee is £10 per person, which includes a Santa suit and medal for all finishers.
