A brand new ten-part series following the life-saving action of Cornwall’s coastguard crews is starting this week on More4.
Emergency Rescue: Air, Land and Sea will take a prime-time hour long slot on Sunday evenings and will focus on the work of HM Coastguard and several mountain rescue teams.
Filmed during the summer of 2019 and spring 2020, camera crews were based with coastguard rescue teams in Cornwall, as well as search and rescue helicopters at Newquay, Humberside and Inverness.
Channel 4’s programme description reads: “Every day, across the UK, from Highland mountains to Lakeland fells and the Cornish coast, search and rescue heroes put their lives on the line to keep us safe.”
There will be a total of ten episodes in this series.
The first episode airs this Sunday (September 13) at 9pm on More4, where fisherman Andy is swept into the Atlantic, a fun day out on the water leaves a group of friends and a dog stuck in mud in Cornwall and, in the Lakes, Elaine falls during a charity walk, according to the episode description.
