Lonesome limb discovered in Cornish layby

An artificial foot has been discovered in a Cornish layby.

The lonesome limb somehow made its way to the side of the road, leaving some passing motorists slightly unnerved.

Cornwall Live photojournalist Greg Martin was on his way to Polperro this morning when he stumbled across the foot by the A390 this morning.

Greg said: “I think the layby was somewhere near West Taphouse.

“I was driving past, saw the foot, and didn’t want to be the guy who drives past a dismembered foot and then sees that police have made a gruesome discovery on the news later, so I turned around.”

Fortunately, there were no police appeals about severed bodies and Greg soon discovered that the foot was in fact made of rubber.

We’re a bit stumped as to why it was out and about all on its own.

There have been a few scarecrows spotted in the area so perhaps that’s where it came from.
