In today’s episode of Channel 4’s Four in A Bed, the final visit of the week took viewers to The Fauconberg Arms in Yorkshire.
Ran by mother and daughter duo Annelies and Claudia, they were hoping to impress their fellow contestants, especially after yesterday’s B&B (The Stamford in Southport) left them without a host’s welcome, or a breakfast.
Their B&B cost between £125 and £145 a night and their fellow B&B owners were especially excited about actually having a cooked breakfast on site this time.
Four poster beds set in a country pub meant that first impressions were positive, despite some ominous brown stains on the bedding and a few wobbly floor boards.
Even the group activity of spending some quality time with alpacas seemed to go down very well, with Carl and best mate Sharon joking they had pinched some to take home with them.
It seemed that breakfast was going to see the most drama, at first. The hosts offered a pre-order breakfast service, where guests needed to tick a box to determine what they would like for breakfast the next morning, which some contestants weren’t too keen on.
Annelies had mentioned in a previous episode that she was a trained chef and so some viewers were slightly baffled by how she went about serving a Full English.

@MrT_AJ tweeted: “A trained chef should not be having to rely on pre order breakfasts…#FourInABed“.
While @Tongueflicker said: “#FourInABed Tell everyone you are a chef and need people to pre book spells low marks.”
Fellow contestant Joe was confused about his beans, as he claimed he hadn’t ordered any.
But, luckily, they came in a ramekin so he could easily give them away and he even got an extra sausage for his trouble.
Viewers called it “beansgate” and said that with “double beans = double farts” with some commenting that the pre-order system simply didn’t work if the order came out wrong.
All three couples said they would return to The Fauconberg Arms, but the hosts weren’t happy about the “nit-picky” comments from yesterday’s hosts, Rick and Sarah of The Stamford in Southport.
Claudia said: “I am ready for a fight tomorrow. I want to know who the real Rick and Sarah are.”
And Annalies added: “It should make payment day interesting.”
Viewers also think the couple, whose B&B had a self check-in service and no on-site breakfast included, will be “playing a game” come tomorrow’s payment day episode.
Viewer @Harley95980236 said: “I don’t trust that couple with the book in yourself system. Think they’ll cause a few sparks tomorrow with their payments. #fourinabed” while another Four in A Bed fan wrote: “Rick & Sarah will definitely be under paying tomorrow. #FourInABed“.
