Cornwall luxury beach feast charging £50 entry

Two local businesses have teamed up to bring an intimate luxury seafood picnic evening on Baby Bay beach in Cornwall. Pretty as a picnic is a boho picnic setup service that will be hosting this event on the beach, the decorations will include rugs, cushions, lanterns, and glassware whilst the picnic will be served on a long table so all 40 guests can enjoy food and chat together.

The food is being provided by Gypsy Kitchen and will include: Padron peppers with sourdough bread to start, seafood paella, and summer fruit pavlova with chantilly cream and finished with fresh berries. The evening is priced at £50 per person. Whilst there are no future collaborations planned, Lauran Beard owner of Pretty as a Picnic hopes the success of this event can lead to future evening picnics on the beach.

She added: “Gypsy Kitchen and I have previously worked together and we wanted to continue to do so, that’s why we are trialing this paella picnic evening. The evening will only be open to 40 people, with fresh seafood from Gypsy kitchen, we are hoping to achieve a relaxed comforting vibe for everyone to enjoy.”

A glass of Chandon Spritz will be provided to guests in the evening, but guests are encouraged to bring their own drinks along to the evening too. There will be no particular dress code for the evening, with the Pretty as a Picnic website adding: “We want you to be comfy and blankets will be provided, but please come prepared for the potentially cooler evenings.”

The evening will be hosted on the 28th July at Baby Bay Beach, New Polzeath, Baby Beach Ln, Wadebridge PL27 6UG, UK from 6.30pm to 9.30pm.
