Body found in search for missing 25-year-old man from Cornwall

A body has been found in the search for missing man Charley Reid.

Cornwall Live reported on Monday how 25-year-old Charley Reid, also known as Charley Davidson, from the Tywardreath/Par area, went missing on Sunday.

He left behind his phone, keys and bank cards.

Devon and Cornwall Police received a 999 call at around 2.05pm today, October 6, with reports for the concern for the welfare of a man in the Duck Pond and St Andrew’s Road area of St Blazey, Par.

Both police and paramedics attended the scene and the man was sadly pronounced dead.

Police added the man’s death is not believed to be suspicious at this time and his next of kin have been informed.

Charley’s mum confirmed she has been informed of the discovery.

A police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 2.05pm today, 6 October, following concern for the welfare of a man located on a footpath in the Duck Pond/St Andrew’s Road area of St Blazey, Par.

“Ambulance also attended. The man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

“The death is not believed to be suspicious at this time. His next of kin have been informed.”
